Summer Altice

Summer Altice is chock-full of star quality. A pert brunette from small-town Fountain Valley, California, she made a name for herself as a volleyball player in high school, nabbing a college scholarship along the way. “Until I became a Playmate, my whole life was volleyball,” she says. “After playing for eight years, I started to burn out.” Lucky for Summer, she had other talents – after taking first place in YM’s cover girl contest in 1995, she signed with a modeling agency, landing deals with big-name brands like Guess and Mossimo. It wasn’t long before she became our Miss August 2000, but she hardly considers Playmate-hood her crowning achievement – as an aspiring actress, Summer’s not ready to settle down anytime soon. She’s landed roles in Wedding Crashers, You, Me and Dupree and Entourage, and she’s well-known in LA for her killer DJ sets. “Someday, I’d like to have a family,” she says. “For now, my ambition is to have a lucrative modeling and acting career. On a typical day in my life, I walk my Maltese, talk to my agents, return about seventeen phone calls, run around and get home by eight to go out with friends. Then I get up and do it all again!”
