Everything’s bigger in Texas, including our Playmate of the Year 1996, Stacy Sanches. Born and raised in Dallas to an Irish mother and Mexican father, Stacy is the third child in a classically nuclear family, and unashamedly she’s daddy’s little girl. “My daddy spoiled me,” she admits. “He works his ass off!” After a short stint as a Hooters waitress, Stacy jumped ship and started working for her father, who runs a custom pickup truck business in Dallas. Following her appearance as Miss March 1995 – and subsequent PMOY win – Stacy moved from Dallas to Los Angeles. After a long day of shooting, Stacy saves her evenings for country-and-western boot scootin’, which she much prefers to the shiny Hollywood club scene. “Good-looking guys don’t know how to dance,” she observes. Most nights, Stacy hangs out at home with her neighbor, fellow PMOY Julie Lynn Cialini. “Me and Julie are both homebodies,” says Stacy. “We hang out, cook and watch TV.” Following her appearance as Miss March 1995 – and subsequent PMOY win – Stacy decided to become an actress, appearing on Dallas and in the films Desperate But Not Serious and On The Line. As for suitors, Miss Sanches is a busy girl, but she can always make time for a good, old-fashioned country boy, and her biggest turn-on is a man in a pair of starched Wranglers. (Stacy won the next best thing, a red Jeep Wrangler, when she made PMOY ’96.) “If I can’t have a job with weekends off, I’m not doing it,” she says confidently. “My ambition is to be self-sufficient by working as a model – and to travel the world!” Spoken like a true Lone Star, Stacy.
