Marketa Janska

No matter the foreign exchange, the results are in Marketa Janska’s favor. Born in Most, a small Czech town known more for its heavy industry than a modeling industry, Marketa was offered a modeling career in Los Angeles at the age of twenty-two, an offer she deemed too good to pass up. “Every little girl has a dream to become a princess,” she says, in charmingly accented English. “Being here is a dream come true.” In a stroke of luck, Marketa moved into the same apartment building as a Playboy scout, and before she knew it, she was posing for Stephen Wayda as our Miss July 2003. With her blonde hair, teal-green eyes and beautiful, natural body, Miss Janska blends in with her Californian surroundings, but her senses of self and humor remain Eastern European. “In America, a man tries to impress you with an expensive restaurant,” she says. “In the Czech Republic, a first date is a bicycle ride – something simple.” Don’t worry, guys – if you’re lucky enough to land a babe like Marketa, she’s special enough for the both of you. “I’d love to become a successful singer and songwriter,” she says, “but my ambitions are to enjoy every day and to be happy!”
