For an interior designer, Lisa Dergan’s exterior sure is beautiful. Blonde-haired and green-eyed, Lisa was raised in Corpus Christ, Texas, and was scouted on the campus of a local college. “I always wanted to do typical stuff,” says Lisa. “Be a cheerleader in high school, do my own thing – I never wanted to be a model.” However, with the support of a big-time modeling agency, Lisa gave it a second thought. “I’ve done some really great campaigns,” she says modestly, referring to Guess, Miller and Budweiser. Not a year later, she was our Miss July 1998; her picture plastered on bedroom walls and locker-room doors the world over. “My dream is to act – one day I’ll be the next Bond girl!” One year later, Lisa was written into Raymond Benson’s Midsummer Night’s Doom, an official James Bond short story, becoming the first real person ever to be awarded Bond girl status. “Shooting my pictorial was a piece of cake,” boasts Lisa. “It’s not like I’m modeling for a campaign. In these pictures, I’m the product. The world can never have enough blonde ambition!”
