You’ll have your hands full with Laura Croft, our Miss July 2008. Dark-haired and bright-eyed, she’s perfect ten with a perfect tan from Jacksonville, Florida. Laura won the title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic Orlando, and after she placed first in the national competition, she was invited to be on Outback Jack, a reality show in which twelve American women compete for one Australian man’s affections. “I didn’t like the way he looked, so I got myself eliminated in the first round,” she admits. “After that, I was ready for a new challenge.” Laura sent us some pictures – taken with her own digital camera – and we called her back a week later. “I was really excited to meet Hef and the other girls,” she says. “I had a great time living at the Mansion.” Laura got homesick, but she brought a little bit of home with her – late nights found her ordering her favorite food, pickled okra, from the kitchen. “And I brought my Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirt,” she says. Laura appeared on a few episodes of The Girls Next Door, and went on to co-star on Holly’s World as one of Holly Madison’s friends in Las Vegas. Laura is still in Vegas, where she’s a successful model and hostess. When she’s not working, she’s hanging out with her friends – swimming, four-wheeling, drinking beer and eating chips with the guys. “I’m a bad girl with a good heart,” she says. “Actually, I’d love to play a villain on The Young and the Restless. It’s my favorite soap opera. If that doesn’t work out, I can always be a housewife.” Young and restless, indeed – if you’ve seen Holly’s World, you know that Laura is a wild woman, and that she can’t be tamed, even by the most doting husband. “My ideal man has a strong liver,” she says, smiling. “And keys to a monster truck.”
