Kayla Collins

Meet Kayla Collins, our Miss August 2008. She’s petite – 5’2” – and all natural, with blonde hair, brown eyes and soft, pouted lips. “I grew up in Reading, rural Pennsylvania,” she says. “I was a cheerleader – I made good grades and took dance classes after school.” When she was eighteen, Kayla added Holly Madison as a friend on MySpace, and Holly sent her a message. “She thought I was Playmate material,” she says. “I ended up on an episode of The Girls Next Door, and then I was asked to do a test shoot.” Hef came by the studio during the shoot, and Kayla introduced herself and embraced him in the nude. “I guess I made a good impression,” she says, laughing. “I moved to California as soon as I signed my Playmate contract,” says Kayla, “and I’ve never looked back. I wouldn’t trade being a Playmate for anything.” These days, she’s a successful model – she’s done promotional work for Jack Daniels, Comedy Central and Spike TV – and she’s a successful actress, too. She appeared in three seasons of The Girls Next Door, and was the only American cast member on the British version of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, which saw her modeling her own line of swimwear. She’s acting in the upcoming School Dance, directed by Nick Cannon, and with a meeting or casting every other day, we’d say our cheerleader is most likely to succeed.
