Growing up in Oak Park, Illinois was peaceful and quiet, but Playmate Dianne Chandler says that’s all about to change now that she’s finally made the big move to Chicago. In high school, the freckled brunette was the popular girl in school who loved to entertain her fellow classmates. As a member of the drama club and the resident high school radio DJ, Dianne’s love for the limelight has never dwindled so when it came down to picking a major to a study at Champaign-Urbana, the choice was easy. “I’m a drama major and like most collect drama majors, I was bitten by the acting bug in high school. In fact, during my senior year I made a pretty fair Laura in The Glass Menagerie. But, by the time I entered my freshman year at Illinois, I was well aware of the fact that I'm basically too shy to ever really go far in acting,” explains the sweet Midwestern beauty. “I now have no desire to act. On the other hand, technical drama—the sets, costuming, sound effects, lighting and everything else that goes on behind the scenes—absolutely knocks me out.” Hitting the books and working at the theater takes up most of her time during the week, but once the weekend comes, Dianne feasts on pizza and gossip with her friends and reads her favorite magazine when she’s back home: Playboy. “I love Playboy and I’m still amazed and so honored to have been chosen to be a Playmate,” says our busty Miss September 1966 who was discovered while working at the Playboy Club. “I'm currently a Bunny at the Playboy Club in Chicago, but I’d like to continue my college education and perhaps someday work at Playboy Magazine.” With a foot in the door, thanks to her Playmate of the Month centerfold, the naturally curvy model has taken a break from college to focus on her bustling career with Playboy and to also work on her biker skills. “I used to be secretly fascinated by cycles and people who had the courage to actually drive them,” she says. “I asked my folks for a two wheeler for graduation so I could try something new and daring.” Ride into the sunset with our daring Miss September 1966, Dianne Chandler.
