Barbara Moore is a real Jane of all trades. Born in Spokane, Washington, the sunny blonde grew up under gray, rainy skies, going fishing and hiking along Shadow Mountain’s trails. “No one would believe I worked the slime line at a salmon cannery,” she says good-naturedly. At eighteen, Barbara struck out on her own for Nashville, Tennessee, where she tried her hand at a few different careers: she put in stints as a flight attendant, a tournament polo player and then as a model and actress. After a nationally-aired ad for Toyota, Barbara found herself in music videos for stars like Reba McEntire, Charlie Daniels and Waylon Jennings. “A life full of excitement – now that’s a good life,” says Barbara with evident zest. “The thing is to have fun.” A lover of all things from the Fifties, Barbara can sock hop with the best of ‘em, and like Sandy from Grease, she’s got a soft spot for a man on a motorcycle. As our Miss January 1992, Barbara had the time of her life – posing in sunglasses and a top-down convertible, she playfully recreated scenes from that fateful Toyota commercial. “Talk about being the center of attention,” says Barbara. “I love having my picture taken! I dreamed of this for so long, it had to happen.” Among the other happenings in Barbara’s life, she played a Fembot in 1997’s Austin Powers, and is set to star in Tooken, a parody of the Taken franchise. In another surprising turn, she’s a champion Pro-Am ballroom dancer and alongside partner Igor Suvorov she placed in both 2002 and 2003. She lives in Los Angeles, where she recently donned the Bunny suit for the Playboy Turns 60 bus tour. “People tell me two things: ‘You sure make me comfortable’ and ‘You sure need a lot of attention,’” laughs Barbara. “I like to make a man feel good – nothing’s wrong with that.” Nothing at all, Miss Moore.
