Coming to Playboy from Heemstede, Holland is Playmate Astrid Schulz, an all-natural brunette who studied ballet at the Sorbonne and performed in operas across Europe. With such a lucrative career in entertainment at her fingertips, the brown-eyed Dutchwoman put a pin in it and hopped on a plane for California. “My father has passed away, but he was a fine musician and painter. I want to become a movie actress, and have a happy time,” says the dark-haired European in her lovely Dutch accent. “I've been a fashion model in Holland, Belgium and France.” Singing, dancing, modeling and able to speak Dutch, French, German and English, Astrid is a dynamic woman with a stellar resume—which is exactly why Playboy asked her to be our Playmate of the Month. Cultured, educated and bold, our Miss September 1964 has everything a sophisticated man could ever want—and her all-natural body isn’t bad to look at either. “I want a man like Charlton Heston, he’s my favorite actor after Audrey Hepburn,” says the lovely Dutch beauty. “I like the honest way men admire things, but what I don’t like are men who drink too much.” Having landed roles in movies like Ross Hunter’s The Art of Love and A House Is Not a Home with Shelley Winters, Astrid is having a grand ole time in Hollywood and cannot wait to add more films to curriculum vitae and to take a beach boy back home to Holland with her. “I always prefer to date the fun guys,” says our Miss September 1964, “honest and outgoing guys who show me a happy time and can take me swimming and play water sports with me.” Won’t you be Playmate Astrid Schulz’s beach boy?
